To replicate and reproduce devices and systems that include sophisticated fluid flow models, the CFD Module is a suitable platform. The CFD Module offers built physics interfaces that are constructed to accept model inputs by means of the graphical user interface (GUI), and to utilize these inputs to compose model equations. The particular physics interfaces that the CFD Module is outfitted will allow you to model most aspects of fluid flow. This fluid flow involves descriptions of compressible, nonisothermal, non-Newtonian, two-phase, and porous media flows all in the laminar and turbulent flow regimes. Moreover, this can used as a standard tool for representing computational fluid dynamics (CFD), or in combination with the other modules in the COMSOL Product Suite for multiphysics simulations where fluid flow is important.
