Transient Random Vibration Test Control drives a series of transient pulses to the shaker. The pulse profile is defined by pulse interval and target power spectrum, like that of Random. Applications include simulating gunfire or road transients. Supported by hardware versions 7.x and above with up to 512 input channels. Control Parameters Sampling Rate: up to 102.4 kHz Spectral Resolution: 200, 400, 800, 1,600, 3,200 and 6,400. 3,200 for all 8 channels. Resolution higher than 3,200 reduces the maximum channel count. Time Block Size: 512 to 65,536 points Average Number: 1 – 500 (2 – 1000 DOFs) Drive Sigma Clipping: 3 – 10 Non-Acceleration Control in Transient Random For Transient Random tests, the following options are available: Control in linear acceleration: This is the most commonly used and set by default. It allows the control in acceleration quantity. The target profile will be set to acceleration. Control in any non-acceleration unit: This mode gives user options to choose from various industry standards measurement quantities to be used as controlling quantity. The most common used quantities are force, displacement and velocity. Unique Features in Transient Random Control Vibration Visualization: The EDM Vibration Visualization feature is available in EDM VCS software all test types, including MIMO VCS. This option provides fast and efficient structural model generation and full 3D visualization of the online vibration pattern on the structure under test.
