The constructive characteristics of this horizontal spindle grinding machine are remarkable. The structure of the machine, verified with the finit elements method is completely made of Meehanite cast iron, is oversized and properly ribbed, in order to give the maximum stiffness to the system.
The hydrostatic lubrication , used on all machine axes, allows to utilize in the best well way the whole power installed, eliminating completely sliding friction and securing, at the same time, regular movements without wear and stick-slip. Ground ball screws (ISO 3) with preloade nut assure great precisions in movements.
The transversal work field is fixed by a teach-in system. The spindle is supported on the front side by an hydrodinamic bearing of the Mackensen type without wear which secures, in the time, the maximum geometric and working precision.
