A pair of gears fitted very precisely into the housing forms the measuring mechanism. The rotation of the measuring mechanism is detected tooth by tooth without contact by a signal pickup system and converted into digital pulses. The integrated transducer with PNP outlet generates a pulse per tooth with a valence of 0.04 cm³.
