Polyamide ELTIMID

The new polyimide material in the extensive DOTHERM portfolio: ELTIMID. The operating temperatures of ELTIMID range from -250 °C all the way to 280 °C and even short-term peaks of 400 °C. Thanks to its high wear resistance, the material is suitable for oil-free applications and offers a long service life. Eltimid is available exclusively from DOTHERM and our sales partners in Germany and Europe. ELTIMID is used primarily where other high-performance plastics approach their limits. Thanks to its very high dimensional stability – even at high application temperatures – Eltimid can be used in demanding applications. The material properties open a broad spectrum of applications. Paired with comprehensive chemical resistance, the result is a genuine all-round material. The material's isotropic structure means there are scarcely any limits when it comes to implementing simple to highly complex geometries. ELTIMID is available as an unfilled as well as a graphite-filled variant. The graphite filling further improves the material’s tribological properties so that it can achieve even better results in sliding applications.
