The Series 285 positioner series from Proximity is sturdy, easy to manage and affordable. This works by controlling the valve strokes of rotary motion valves. An input signal from 4 to 20 mA will be used in this unit. This is made with a sturdy body to make it work well in many tough environments. It also has a strong enclosure to keep the unit functional and ready to manage. The NEMA 4X (IP66) enclosure rating protects the highly efficient microprocessing unit inside the Smart Positioner. It uses an analog feedback signal to stabilize valves and uses an auto-calibration setup to keep it accurate. This uses a minimal amount of air to keep operating costs down while keeping the Smart Positioner ready. This is small enough to use in many actuators and will use an LCD screen on the outside to help you identify its readouts. The HART communication standard is prominently used in this setup. The unit will also stop working in the event that the mA signal is lost.
