HIPS is a rigid material with a high impact resistance. Pieces with good csurface quality are obtained due to its great dimensional stability. It is resistant to greases, oils and alkalines, otherwise it is not resistant to fuels.
This material fulls the FDA regulation and it can be in contact with food.
The HIPS main feature is its solubility in D-Limonene, a natural biodegradable solvent.
