Shock sensor 3086A5

The 3086A5 by Dytran Instruments is a shock sensor which is designed to measure severe shocks and other extreme short duration events. It comes with an IEPE accelerometer which enables it to cover a high natural frequency by about 100 kHz. An operation having a superior shock would measure above 2,500g's. With these high amount of shock, an instruments should be ready having a capacity to do high natural frequency for reliable and accurate measurement. Also, it is available with higher shock capacity such as 5,000g range. For this specific model, it features its quartz crystal sensing element that can be functional in compression mode. This element is tightly sealed on its titanium housing having a total weight of just 3.6g.
