Description

The MFW was developed for radio transmission in the 70-cm and 35-cm-ISM-band as well as 70-cm-timeslot radio and 1:24-radio data communication. Consequently the transmission can be done independent of provider and with low running costs. At a used power of 10 mW in 70-cm-band and 500 mW in 35-cm-band the devices operate without registration and free of charges, however, radio ranges in 70-cm-band working with a transmitting power more than 10 mW as well as 70-cm-timeslot radio and 1:24-radio data communication have to be registered and paid. Depending on the topological conditions of the local area distances of more than 10 km are practicable. If there is no radio trunk line between the master station and one or several substations, other substations can be used as relay station for transmission. The transmitted data volume as well as the available time, limits the number of substations. The radio transmission frequency is set via DIP-switch, which enables flexible adjustment to the local conditions. But this does not apply to the time slot and 1:24 radio data transmission, as the equipment can be factory-aligned to the values provided by the user local regulatory authority. Numerous practical tools are integrated in the MFW, e.g. field strength display and an internal speaker to check the radio traffic on the corresponding frequency. With the diagnosis interface furthermore history data, status and fault information can be used, in which the extension degree of the radio network, the data volume of each station as well as the used radio band can influence the duty cycle of the data transmission.
