Description

In an NWT-SH, a platinum wire insulated 2x with glass fibre is applied to a laminate carrier housing to form a bifilar measuring winding. The bifilar winding prevents any induced voltages, which could lead to measuring errors, from occurring. The carrier housing is placed in a flexible carrier housing made from tempered glass fabric and sealed. The thermometer is then insulated with one or two layers of shrinking tube, depending on the dielectric strength required. The supply line is connected with the measuring winding with strain relief in a 2, 3 or 4 wire circuit. The temperature is measured along around 2/3 of the sensor length.
