The 3548 series is a line of high temperature furnace extensometers from Epsilon. This series is used for split type materials for testing furnaces. It is placed on water-cooled brackets, with a standard temperature supplied from alumina rods. The devices mounting brackets may be merged with the furnace cut-out. It is provided with a rod and optional load bracket frame, which are made according to the users preference. The series are strain gaged tools, making them compatible with any electronics designed for such type of transducers. This tool features a mechanical overtravel stops placed in both directions. The unit also comes with either high-purity alumina ceramic rods, or alpha grade silicon carbide rods. Other versions of this device are available for use in vacuum environments.
