The 3575AVG Sheet Metal r-Value Extensometers model is specifically designed for determining the r-values present in sheet metal testing. This extensometer moderates the lateral strain at two different locations. This model is suitable to be used simultaneously with the model 3542 axial extensometer. This model is intended to be self-supporting on the sample. It is equipped with a circular contact edges which measures the sample at two locations. When the test sample is pulled, the contact edges now follow the part where the sample is mounted to. It now then measures the lateral strain on the sample at the same location up to the end of the test.
