Overview
Automatic high-speed labelling system for cylindrical pharmaceutical products (vials, bottles, carpules, syringes). Designed for stand-alone use or inline integration, Pharma Flexi handles varying product heights and unstable items while achieving labelling speeds up to ≤ 400 pcs/min. The system is built to GMP guidelines for pharmaceutical production.

Main components and operation
The machine includes an infeed belt, an auger (cochlea) for spacing, conveying and phasing devices, and a rotary carousel with dedicated housings located at the labelling station. Labels are applied while the product passes the station; a rotation device (DRP) completes application by rotating the product. In stand-alone mode a low-grip conveyor accepts manually loaded trays and separate unloading trays collect conforming and non-conforming products.

Control and verification
Control is via a pivoting mobile arm with HMI (PC ASEM) and Siemens S7 PLC for peripheral diagnostics, FailSafe management, batch handling and event/alarm reporting. A label-check station with UV (electroluminescence) sensor is included. The system can integrate a printing unit for variable-data overprinting and a vision system for print/overprint verification and OCV/OCR/barcode checks.

Reject and output management
Advanced reject management is provided by two output carousels with suction separation and a static tray conveyor to segregate compliant and non-compliant products, ensuring controlled handling of rejects.

Design and maintenance
Carousel and guides are manually changed without tools for fast format change. The Energy 100 high-production labeler (Kanigen treatment) uses a stepper motor with magnetic encoder suitable for high-speed dispensing. The control panel provides access to wiring diagrams and manuals to support maintenance operations.

Notes
