Description

The BLA10 automatic taping machine is the flagship model of the FasTape range and sets the international benchmark for taping quality, productivity, and reliability.

The machine operates on the "moving panel" taping principle; it features an advanced taping head positioned in the center of the main structure, with the loading and unloading stations located at either end. The entire work surface is equipped with roller conveyors featuring metal wheels to facilitate the longitudinal movement of the panels.
The machine is capable of applying all types of tapes available on the market—ranging from aluminum tapes (with or without external plastic coating) to various types of breathable tapes—in versions both with and without silicone liners.
The taping process consists of five stages:
internal cleaning of the cells via high-pressure air blast or vacuum suction;
lifting of the protective film;
taping of the leading edge/corner;
taping of the front surface;
taping of the trailing edge/corner.
With the exception of panel loading and unloading—which are performed manually by operators—the taping process is fully automatic.
Panels can be fed in rapid succession simply by maintaining a gap between them, without needing to wait for the panel currently being processed to exit the machine.

Once the first side of the batch has been taped, the operators rotate the pallet to proceed with processing the opposite side.
