Double volute – Single and Double Suction DVSHF/THF are BB2 pumps, in accordance with the API610 standard, and are centerline mounted, horizontal, respectively one and two-stage, staggered single or double volute, vertically split, with impeller between bearings. These pumps are designed for continuous duty and are particularly well adapted to oil refinery and other industrial services, pumping fluids under a wide range of temperatures and pressures. Stuffing boxes are designed for API 682 mechanical seals. The THF family includes a double suction first stage option called DSTHF, for low NPSH. BB2 pumps have been designed to fit the requirements for heavy duty services in refinery and petro-chemical plants in particular for high temperature fluids. Examples are amine, urea, LPG and LNG. Low pressure boiler feed is also a possible application of this type of pumps.
