In narrow-aisle warehouses, when transporting long goods, or even when handling times are to be increased, more than one forward and one backward motion is needed. With four-way forklifts, the loads to be picked up can also be approached and picked up from the side, as the wheels can be turned 90 degrees, i.e. no more maneuvering in narrow aisles. Even more versatile on the road are multidirectional forklifts.
