Description

The fire fighting plant is designed for extinguishing fires resulting from inflammation of various type combustible substances which cannot burn without access of air, for example, oil, oil products or gas condensate, within confined space and indoor areas, as well as for prevention of fire and explosion hazardous situations at oil and gas producing facilities. The principle of nitrogen fire fighting plant operation is based on the inert properties of the produced air mixture with 9599% nitrogen concentration. At this nitrogen concentration in the air, the burning process is rendered impossible. The gaseous nitrogen produced by the nitrogen plant gas separation unit is supplied under pressure into the receiver. The receiver volume is calculated on the basis of the volume of premises and tanks which fire safety is to be maintained by the plant
