Deionisation/ion exchange
MBA is a mixed bed unit for polishing demineralized water to a conductivity of less than 0.1 S/cm, suitable for industrial processes in pharma, power plants and electronics. MBA handles regenereation automatically.
Ultrapure water for sensitive applications
The MBA mixed-bed unit provides the final polishing stage after primary demineralization by a two-column system or reverse osmosis. When the feed water has a low carbonic acid content, it can achieve conductivity levels below 0.1 μS/cm at 10°C. Additionally, the MBA can operate directly on clean municipal water, offering flexibility for various applications.
Designed for industrial performance
The MBA mixed-bed plant combines cation and anion exchangers in a single resin tank, surface-treated with high-density polyethylene for durability and leak-free performance. Pipes and valves are made of corrosion-resistant plastics, and a PLC control panel ensures precise monitoring with conductivity measurement and alarm functions.
Anti-corrosion resin tank
The resin tank is coated with high-density polyethylene for a flawless, pinhole-free finish and exceptional dielectric strength (approx. 21 kV/mm), ensuring maximum durability and long-term protection against corrosion.
Automatic regeneration
Regeneration of the MBA mixed-bed unit is a fully automated, precision-controlled process that guarantees consistently high-water quality. Starting with resin separation and advanced chemical treatment, followed by thorough rinsing and air mixing, the cycle is completed in just 3.5–4 hours—delivering reliable performance with minimal downtime.
