SURSULF™ Salt bath nitriding using sulphur-activated, non-contaminating salts, especially suitable for ferrous metals. SURSULF efficiently solves all wear, fatigue and seizure problems thanks to the exceptional nitriding power of the bath. Treatment parameters : The SURSULF bath temperature is between 540 and 570°C (1000 and 1060° F) and treatment time varies between 30 and 210 minutes. Remark : Installed equipment is suitable for treatment of parts to diameter 1,300 mm (51 in), height 2,300 mm (90 in). Precautions : Schedule 3-hour thermal stress relieving at 590°C (1094° F) minimum before final machining.
