ELECTROLESS NICKEL : Phosphorous-nickel alloy base coating obtained by autocatalytic reduction of a nickel salt. May be followed by heat treatment at a temperature between 150 and 650°C (300 and 1200° F) in function of the characteristics required. Characteristics : Plating thickness very uniform. Excellent resistance to corrosion and wear. Hardness obtained: from 550 to 1,000 Vickers depending on the final heat treatment. Materials suitable for treatment : All types of materials with a surface suitable for a catalytic reaction.
