Overhead cranes, sometimes also called bridge cranes, are cranes with a crane trolley traveling along the bridge between parallel runways. They are designed to meet the medium to heavy industrial lifting requirements, covering all parts of the manufacturing process.
A overhead crane system consists of three major components.
the overhead crane, which traverses across the runway
The crane trolley, which traverses across the bridge and lifts up and down
the runway, which is tied to the building structure
