Automatic rework station

HMR Hydeq offers an innovative Automated Stub Repair Line (ASRL) for the rodding shop of the aluminium smelter. HMR has developed and operates a new revolutionary system to repair anode yokes by replacing of worn-out studs with the new pins whilst on the power and free conveyer in the rodding shop. The operation consists of cleaning, cutting and robotic welding of nipples. The system is completely automated and requires one operator only. The process is efficient and very safe, and it reduces repair downtime to a minimum.
