This is an anti-capillary cable delivered with a silicon-free construction, suitable for automotive applications of all kinds. The single conductor forms part of the range of products for road vehicles, while the grease-like filling material prevents a capillary effect at the core level, stopping liquids in the vehicle, including water, oil and AdBlue. In this way, damage to the electronics and sensors is prevented. The grease-like filling material is a compound developed by HUBER + SUHNER, produced in the compounding facility of the company in Switzerland. The silicon-free construction does not form an undesirable foam when coming into contact with the transmission fluid. The compound can withstand the crosslink process. Finally, the resistance to high and low temperatures, as well as weathering and ozone are important advantages, as is the resistance to abrasion. Application The anti-capillary cable prevents fluids (e g water or AdBlue) penetrating the copper wire and thus damaging eleclromcs or sensors Potential applications include •Cores in AdBlue tanks •Fan motor cables •Sensor cables •Cables connected to control units More expensive sealing solutions, such as waterproof connec-fors, overmouldmg, adhesive bonding or cable separator sleeves are no longer needed The cable assumes the sealant function
