The SR11 pyranometer is a solar radiation sensor that is applicable for the scientific grade solar radiation observations. It measures the solar radiation flux that is incident on a plane surface in W/m2 from a 180 degrees field of view.
The SR11 take up small output voltage that corresponds the flux as the unit operates passively.
The pyranometer is suitable for the applications such as building physics, meteorological networks, general solar resource monitoring and PV system performance monitoring. Measurement errors are lessened by employing two glass domes.
