The IKO Linear Way L has two rows of balls that contact the raceway at four points. Despite its very small body, it provides stable accuracy and rigidity even in applications where load has variable direction and size, or complex load is applied. The stainless steel specification, which is the base model, is available in a range of shapes and sizes that can be selected according to the application. Interchange specifications are available. Since the slide unit and track rail dimensions are separate, each can be individually added or exchanged. The slide unit is available in a standard type and wide type, the latter suitable for use with a single track rail. Three stainless steel ball retaining types with the same cross-sectional dimensions but different slide unit lengths are available: short type, standard type and high-rigidity long type. They can be selected according to the application. Stainless steel types, with excellent corrosion resistance, are also available. They are ideal for use in cleanroom machines and equipment, such as medical equipment, various disc readers and semiconductor manufacturing devices. The high carbon steel type, with a track rail that can be modified, is used for general-purpose applications such as conveying and equipment handling. The slide unit incorporates a ball retaining band which prevents the ball from dropping down when the slide unit is removed from the track rail, making it easy to handle. The track rail is available in the standard specification where the bolts pass through the through hole downward, and the tapped rail specification where the track rail is threaded.
