Bistable Brakes - Low Energy Solution
Energy-optimized braking
As already described for the design of clutches, KEB bi-stable brakes, also called flip-flop brakes, also offer the capability of maintaining switching states - open and closed - without additional energy input.
Bi-stable brakes make sense in particular when stopping for a long time in one position is necessary, as in the use for doors and hatch systems, for example.
Technical data
■ Torque range - 20 … 60 Nm
