Holding solenoids are used for stopping, lifting and conveying. An electric current or permanent magnet can activate the holding position. The preferred holding solenoids work with 24 V DC and has a permanent duty cycle of 100% ED. Models with a permanent magnet hold a plate without application of a current. A short current pulse is required to release the plate using an external force. The solenoid weight is 130 g and its power rating 3.8 W. The holding force of the solenoid is 200 N. The minimum thickness of the counter plate is 3.5 mm. The maximum permissible temperature of the solenoid is 130 °C.
