Our PM450 instant, portable moisture meter is a standard worldwide. The 450 is the latest version of our Grainer portable moisture testers. Designed to provide immediate, accurate readings of many grains, this unit does not require adjusting or temperature correction. Fully electronic, with built-in microprocessors, the PM450 is the world’s simplest, handheld multi-grain tester. The samples can range from 20-180 grams and are 240ml in volume. Twenty-six calibrations are included with the system. Select the product calibration desired, pour the sample into the container and results are shown within five seconds. Simple Operation - World-Class Results To test a sample, simply fill the sample cup and pour the sample into the PM450. The moisture content is instantly displayed. Large buttons and icons, audible alarms and confi rming sounds help operators have confidence in their measurements and proce- dures even in the most stressful environments. Outstanding Measurement Stability Measurements are made using capacitance, comparing the di-electric constant of the solid sample with water. An integrated balance and temperature thermistor provide automatic density and temperature compensation. These components and the design of the sample cup and measurement cell combine to provide unsurpassed stability and accuracy when compared with standard loss-on-drying tests.
