The LAB FACILITY melt bolt thermocouples of the J or K type can be ordered with lengths of 76 or 152 mm, and are mainly used in plastics extruders and injection moulders. Their design is robust, and offers usability for high pressure applications, mainly associated with molten plastic and polymers. They feature a stainless steel bolt with 1/2" UNF-20 thread, a 5 mm long immersion ( x 3 mm diameter), a temperature range up to 500 °C, insulated hot junction, standard plug termination (round pin), and a tolerance and color code, that is completely IEC-584 compliant. The melt bolt thermocouple can be extended via extension leads with standard plugs and sockets, if requested.
