Description

NC4 / CA18 : CuAl10Ni5Fe4 (C63000, C63200, C95510, CW307G, AMS4640, AMS4880) wrought aluminium bronze It offers very good resistance to sea-water corrosion, saline mist and oxidation, also high strength, hardness, good fatigue as well as toughness and excellent resistance to wear, shock, abrasion. C63000/ AMS4640 is commonly used in the Aerospace industry for landing gear bushes and bearings but also in Marine industry for distributor bodies, screws, forged parts. CA104 / CA1 / CA2 : CuAl10Ni5Fe4 (BSB23, DTD197A) two-phase, wrought aluminium copper Widely used in the United Kingdom. Mainly used for its high strength and excellent resistance to erosion, seawater corrosion and many other aggressive environments, it offers very good wear and abrasion resistance, an ability to withstand shock loading and keeps its properties at cryogenic temperatures. Transformation by extrusion, forging or die stamping Suitable for hot forming (800 to 950°C). Not suitable for cold forming Good behaviour at arc welding, MIG and TIG welding. Not suitable for acetylene welding and soft solder Machinability: 30% free-cutting brass NCS / CA2: CuAl11Ni5Fe5 (AMS4590, C63020, C95520, AMS4881, CW308G) wrought aluminium bronze It exhibits high mechanical properties, oxidation resistant, saline mist corrosion resistant used in Aerospace industry (rings, bushings and bearings for landing gears, mechanical parts) but also in the Hydraulic industry (pump blocks).
