HODDI / HOW IT WORKS
This 5-metre long loading conveyor is designed to meet the needs of general builders when moving materials from ground level onto scaffolding. It is able to provide the three standard lifts involved in two-storey house building. Powered by a 110 or 240 volt electric motor the Hoddi is fully reversible with the capacity to be stopped and started from a pendant control. The machine can comfortably cope with the transport of blocks, bricks, slabs, mortar, lintel frames and pieces of masonry. It is designed to ensure the material can be safely lifted to higher levels within a few seconds.
As with Mace’s other products, this conveyor is designed to be strong, durable, light and easily manoeuvrable. Its aluminium frame keeps the weight of the unit down, which makes it portable and easy to set up in just three or four minutes. The machine was designed so that it can be safely transported on the roof rack of a small van.
It was decided to design and launch the Hoddi following the success of the Bumpa loading-conveyor for roofers. Like the Bumpa, it is guaranteed to satisfy the requirements of the user. Portable, light in weight, efficient and safe - it is exactly what many builders have been looking for to reduce the manual labour involved when moving materials. The machine has a five metre lifting belt and it can operate at a maximum angle of 65 degrees.
With the current climate of tough safety regulations and demands for efficient construction methods, the builder’s life can be made a lot easier if large blocks can be lifted efficiently and safely up to second storey level – the Hoddi does just that.
