The Magaldi Superbelt® is a steel belt conveyor to handle hot and abrasive materials like forging parts. The Magaldi Superbelt® overcomes the limitation of conventional conveyors (e.g. vibrating feeders or apron-redler conveyors) thanks to a combination of the dependable Magaldi Superbelt® technology. The Magaldi Superbelt® allows to convey extremely hot, dusty, sharp and abrasive materials, no matter if containing fines or lumps, over long distances and with steep inclinations. It is designed in a steel casing for an easy checking of all parts of the conveyor. Compared to traditional chain belts (single link), its unique multilink design eliminates any risk of sudden failures, avoiding any unexpected line shutdown and ensuring a dependable and safe operation. High temperatures are solved thanks to the patented method of connecting the pans to the mesh belt, that leaves all elements free to expand in any direction. As a result, the Magaldi Superbelt® withstands temperatures higher than any other known competitive conveyor. The Magaldi Superbelt® can be manufactured with different steels chosen according to the conveyed material properties, such as inlet temperature, chemical composition, magnetism. Wear is negligible, since material is conveyed with no relative motion against steel parts. Maintenance activities are very easy: all idler supports are installed outside the casing, allowing trouble-free inspection at any time and maintenance and lubrication with the belt in operation. In most cases, the Magaldi Superbelt® operational life exceeds 10 years.
