Description

The THERMATEL® TA2 is a thermal mass flow transmitter from Magnetrol. The transmitter is founded on the thermal dispersion technology that functions to give mass measurements for air and gas flow operations. The components of this device are encased in an explosion-proof enclosure. It also provides high performance in an economical price.

This flow transmitter is offered with both insertion probes and a flow body design for slight pipe sizes. It provides the user the capability to verify calibration and minimize the need for recalibration.

The THERMATEL® Model TA2 performs its measuring functions of the mass flow by detecting heat dissipation from a heated surface. The sensor comprises of two balanced components with high precision RTDs. The reference sensor measures the process temperature, while the second RTD measures the temperature of the heated sensor. The power to the heater differs to retain a consistent temperature difference.
