Description

The EAS® -smartic® is a positive mechanical safety clutch based on the ball-recess principle. The clutch protects the drive train against impermissibly high torque surges, which can occur due to unforeseen blockages. If the set torque is exceeded (overload case), the clutch disengages and a residual torque of approx. 5 - max. 20 % of the set torque is applied. After removal of the overload, the clutch re-engages automatically after 360° when the re-engagement position is reached. Product features Application ✓ General drive technology ✓ Automation technology ✓ Machine tools ✓ Packaging machines ✓ Printing and paper machines ✓ Food technology ✓ Conveyor technology ✓ Beverage industry Behavior on overload ✓ load-break Design ✓ Positive locking ✓ latching Re-engagement ✓ Automatic re-engagement after 360° (synchronous) Benefits ✓ Backlash-free ✓ Good dynamic properties ✓ High torque range of 6 s 100% of the maximum torque Assembly and maintenance ✓ Simple assembly ✓ Low maintenance ✓ Simple torque adjustment ✓ Adjustment of the different torque ranges by rearranging existing disc springs, without reducing or adding springs
