Description

The OPR 706 once-per-revolution tacho pulse extractor is specifically designed in order to extract both high and low tooth input pulse that is present in the tachometer signal, from a speed probe that is installed on a turbine or in a test-bed set-up. This device can produce a once-per-revolution pulse that can be converted in a dual separated digital (0V to 5V) outputs through the use of the OPR 706. It can be fed into the tacho inputs of an engine vibration monitoring system. This pulse occurs when the electro-dynamic speed probe produces a higher/lower than normal pulse as it detects a slightly-longer/shorter tooth on the phonic wheel that is specifically positioned on the engines axle, thus causing a variation.
