The MAS-100 ISO NT® control unit with Profinet, is designed to monitor the microbial contamination of ambient air in isolators and RABS at one fixed sampling location. The control unit with electronic and moving blower parts can be located outside the critical zone, while the single sampling head for standard 90 to 100 mm Petri dishes collect samples in the containment zone. The exhaust air of the sampling head is guided through a pipe/tube to the control and exhausted outside of the critical containment.
If necessary, the base unit can be replaced during operation as one valve is still sealing the air duct.
Like for all other MAS-100® air samplers, it′s principle of work is based on the Andersen impaction principle. The perforated lids are made of stainless steel. They are autoclavable and are interchangeable without the need for additional calibration. The system has an integrated mass flow sensor which compensates for environmental temperature and pressure to provide a constant flow rate of 100 Standard Liter/min ±2.5%.
All components in the enclosure are made exclusively of stainless steel and a precision seal without sealing ring between perforated lid and sampling head facilitates cleaning and disinfection. The innovative double valve system enables the sampling heads to be integrated into the decontamination process with VHP. Each unit has both an air and a sterilization pump that operate autonomously. Additional air filters can be installed between sampling head and control unit or at the exhaust of the control unit.
Each sampling head is calibrated for an accurate flow rate automatically with a digital Anemometer such as MAS-100 Regulus or DA-100 NT.
