Description

Technical Building Monitoring with Mondas® Suboptimally adjusted HVAC systems in buildings are often a reason for high energy consumption and persistent user complaints. Because modern non-residential buildings become more and more complex, careful commissioning supported by technical monitoring should become the new normal. Technical monitoring can be found in German standardization and regulations, such as VDI Guideline 6041 (VDI 6041) or also in Recommendation No. 135 of the AMEV (Working Group for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of State and Municipal Administrations). Despite all the advantages for operational quality, technical monitoring has not yet been widely used. One reason for this is certainly the large amount of time that was previously required for both commissioning monitoring and long-term monitoring. As a result, the forecast costs and energy consumption are exceeded in actual operation, and the profitability of the property remains below expectations. Builders and users are dissatisfied. With the mondas® IoT platform, the adjustment phase can be significantly shortened. The data of the HVAC components and their operating states are recorded and automatically evaluated in real time. Installation errors and faulty operations are immediately detected, reported and can be corrected. Even in subsequent control operation, the web tool ensures that the regulated operation is permanently guaranteed. Technical building equipment systems can be monitored and optimized cost-effectively. This ensures that the planned energy demand, indoor climate and functionality of the systems are also achieved in real operation.
