Description

Our industrial and sanitary rotary lobe pumps are highly reliable and efficient designed for the handling of low to high viscosity fluids which are either clean or have concentrated solids in suspension. Due to their high efficiency, low shear pumping motion and cleaning in place characteristics, these units are typically used for the transfer of sensitive and hygienic fluids within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, chemical, food & beverage markets. Their rotary positive displacement operation ensures a smooth non-pulsating flow of media, enabling them to be used reliably with flowmeters and ensure that mixtures remain unchanged by pumping motion. The design of our RLP Rotary Lobe Pump allows not only the pumping of thin liquids, but also mixtures containing large suspended and concentrated solid particles such as olives, molasses, syrups, fruits and vegetables. The internal casing is designed to accommodate easy CIP cleaning through the addition of a flushing line connected directly to the seal, guaranteeing seal faces remain clean when handling sticky, abrasive mixtures. Designs are available with either a heating or cooling jacket for the maintaining of pumped fluid temperature, safeguarding sensitive liquids ensuring they remain within set temperatures for the preservation of hygiene. This range is designed with the ability to run dry for long periods of time without damage to the internal lobes or seals as the seal is located within an oil bath.
