Smart and compact: IR cameras of the optris Xi series with spot finder function
Both infrared temperature measurement devices optris Xi 80 and Xi 400 of the new Optris’ IR camera series combine the advantages of a robust and compact pyrometer as well as of a modern infrared camera. Other than the classic setup using a PC and Software, the camera can be operated semi-autonomously, without connection to a computer; thus opening up a whole new field of applications, e.g. in mechanical engineering or multisensor applications.
The integrated spot finder function allows for a precise temperature measurement of moving objects – without having to readjust the sensor. In addition to a direct 0/4-20 mA analog output, the measuring device offers digital interfaces (Ethernet, RS485) as well. With the option of defining up to nine freely definable measuring areas as analog outputs via an external processing interface, the measuring device is perfectly suited for OEM use.
The free software PIX Connect enables a comfortable remote adjusting of the Xi series’ integrated motor focus. The thermal imagers offer a resolution of up to 382 x 288 pixels, a frame rate of 80 Hz as well as a distance-to-spot ratio of up to 390:1. The devices are calibrated for a temperature range of -20 to 900 °C. Included in the scope of supply are mounting bolt and –angle, the software package as well as a connection cable. With the new IR camera series, Optris offers an extensive ready-to-use package at an affordable price.
