PEEK fibre is a durable fibre with a high tensile strength, which is widely used in wire harnesses and hose braiding applications. PEEK fibre can be used in the higher temperature regions (up to 260°C) and produces excellent low smoke and gas emissions. The lightweight material has superior friction and wear properties. The high tensile strength, combined with the light weight of PEEK fibre, makes it an excellent choice for many applications, including Aerospace. PEEK fibre can be used to create a braided sleeve or as an additional jacket which is both stretchable and flexible. The woven material can be placed over an existing cable assembly in order to protect against abrasion and additionally offers an improved chemical wear resistance. PEEK fibre is widely used for conveyor belts, or as a component in filters.
