Chemical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor and automotive industry, solar and recycling industry, printing and coating industry, surface refinement, paint and varnish manufacturing, plastics processing, environmental remediation, odor elimination, biogas, landfill and lean gas purification etc. Prantner air purification systems are used in all of these fields. Compliance with official requirements can be assured with minimum energy consumption. The process exhaust air is drawn in through a fan and preheated together with the purified air in a heat exchanger. The exhaust gas stream is brought to the necessary reaction temperature by an electric heater or a gas burner and then oxidized in the catalytic reactor to form carbon dioxide and water. The oxidation takes place in a specially-sized reactor. At higher pollutant concentrations (over approx. 3 g C-total/nm3) autothermal plant operation is possible. This means that no additional energy is needed to convert the pollutants. The plant is controlled and monitored via an instrument equipment system with programmable logic controller (PLC). It is also available with remote monitoring or a connection to a process control system.
