Automatic vehicles (mobile on rails, laser guided, guided by magnets or underground wires on the floor) are used by PRIMON AUTOMAZIONI in textile applications both for transferring semi-finished products (pallets or trolleys with bobbins or rolls of fabric) from one part to the other of production departments and then connect production lines with robotic cells, and to move the robots themselves (anthropomorphic or collaborative) when and where necessary in service with production machines that require the bobbins unloading and loading.
Depending on the application, these shuttles can be fork or turtle type. In the first case, the load is transported by means of forks that lift it directly from the ground, while in the second case, the load is moved by transporting it on the back of the vehicle that automatically slips under it.
The use of automatic shuttles is therefore recommended when:
distances to be covered are very long
tracks are particularly complex
frequent reconfigurations of the track are planned
production rates are not extremely high
intermediate storage areas along the route are required
both traceability and flexibility of movement is required
