RMD Kwikform has a portfolio of aluminium beams, including Albeam – a 225 mm deep heavy-duty primary beam for slab support with a very high bending and concentrated load capacity. And Alform – a 150 mm deep beam, designed for wall formwork and secondary bearer for soffit support applications. Faster RMDK’s aluminium beams have a consistent cross-section, eliminating time and cost implications of selecting and hand-finishing timber. Safer The aluminium offers greatly increased bending and shear resistance than timber beams, also allowing more weight to be supported over greater spans with less equipment. Easier Lighter and easier to handle, the aluminium beams’ unique profile reduces damage, while the Alform beams’ bevelled edges enable plywood sheeting to be stripped quickly and easily. Key Features Residual value RMD Kwikform’s Aluminium beams can be reused numerous times. When they finally reach the end of their useful life, their value is still around 25 per cent of their original cost.
