Within the lengths of up to 5 meters our flexible probes are capable of providing articulation up to 180ᵒ (depending on the number of bends). Such articulation is particularly important during inspections of the inlets. You can read about the features of the SATEKO 2-way articulation system here. Due to its high torsion resistance, it is sufficient to rotate the probe by the handle around the axis for a complete inspection of the entire sphere of the cavity. Therefore, when examining cavities with a relatively small number of turns, SATEKO ME-Series flexible probes with 2-way articulation could be used as the probes with 4-way articulation. In particular, flexible SATEKO ME-Series probes with 2-way articulation are used during inspection of the: • Blades of the gas turbine engines • Aircrafts sheathing elements • Complex heat-exchange units • Hidden cavities of the vehicles, cargo etc. The choice of the external coating • Braided tungsten, or • Extruded polymer depends on the environment conditions and frequency of operations of the probe. The polymer coating is less wear-resistant, but it is better suited for use in the environments with technical fluids, etc.
