While maintaining the self-supporting ability of the semi-rigid probe, articulation significantly increases the capture field of the probe chamber - the operator can examine a significant part of the cavity without changing the position of the probe. Semi-rigid SATEKO ME series probes with 2-sided articulation are capable of supporting their own weight up to 1.5 meters vertically and up to a meter horizontally (exact specifications can be agreed upon at the time of ordering). For semi-rigid SATEKO ME series probes with 2-sided articulation, there is a slight restriction associated with the peculiarities of the tube structure - with an increase in the length of the semi-rigid probe, the maximum possible angle of articulation is reduced. However, on probes up to two meters long, articulation is implemented similarly to other types of probes - 170 ± 20ᵒ. The outer coating of SATEKO semi-rigid probes is polymer. This allows the probes to be resistant to use under water when there are technical fluids in the environment. One of the most popular applications for the semi-rigid SATEKO ME series probes with 2-sided articulation is to ensure physical safety by inspecting vehicles and cargo.
