Overview
scanNIRTM analyzer is based on Near-Infrared Spectroscopy. It is a well- established molecular spectroscopy technique which is widely used in various industries including pharmaceutical, paper, food, chemicals, safety security, plastic and carpet recycling. Near-Infrared spectroscopy probes the molecular vibrations of a particular sample and yields a spectrum. This spectrum is regarded as a fingerprint of the molecule in question. Different types of objects (e.g. plastics, carpet fibers) have different spectra. These spectra then processed using proprietary algorithms to identify object type. scanNIR analyzer works in conjunction with scanNIR application on mobile phone/tablet.
