The TrackProbe 3D probing system, composed of the tracking i‑Probe and the optical i‑Tracker, is engineered for metrology‑grade measurements on the shop floor. As a versatile 3D digitizer, TrackProbe supports fixture adjustment, benchmark marking, and geometric and dimensional inspection of engineering machinery and parts across large measurement volumes and long distances. The system offers portable, precise and user‑friendly measurement for parts in harsh industrial conditions.

Performance and environment
When combined with i‑Tracker (large field of view), the i‑Probe can measure parts at distances up to 6 m with standard tracking; tracking distance is extendable to 10 m for wide‑area measurement of large parts. TrackProbe uses high‑precision optical tracking and robust algorithms to achieve metrology‑grade accuracy for shapes and GD&T. The i‑Probe is optimized for deep or obstructed features thanks to its ~500 mm length and dedicated algorithms, enabling reliable measurement of reference holes and hidden points. The system is portable and tolerates shop‑floor vibration, temperature variation, humidity changes and varied lighting by employing dynamic referencing.

Data transfer and workflow
TrackProbe supports wired and wireless data transfer: wireless mode enables flexible on‑site measurement without cable constraints; wired mode is available where extra safety or reliability is required. Software unifies scan and probe coordinate systems to allow seamless switching between scanning and probing operations.
