Description

Outstanding efficiency in filler reduction Quarrying and processing natural and crushed sand produces fine dust due to friction in the crushing machine, sieves and conveying process. The fine dust with a particle size of less than 90 μm is described as filler. If there is too much filler, there will be a surplus in the in-house filler silo, and this often has to be disposed of in a costly manner. The Scheuch cascade classifier significantly reduces the proportion of filler in crushed sand, preventing any surplus and ensuring that any required filler can be additionally purchased in a targeted way. By designing and delivering extraction and sifter (classifier) plants from a single source, Scheuch offers the operator optimally aligned systems that maximize profitability and availability. These sifters can be used for material quantities of up to 85 t/h, and for larger quantities, individual cascade classifier lines can be operated in parallel (dual classifiers). The sifter design and the special guidance, distribution and control equipment guarantee uniform air and material distribution – and, therefore, highly efficient separation. Used under optimum conditions, it can reduce filler by over 70 %. The results can be improved even further by modifying the inlets and ventilation, and by using secondary separators.
