DescriptionThe MACFUGE disk centrifuges with automatic discharge are designed and built to separate a mixture of liquids having different specific weight and a solid. The bowl “self-cleaning” or “with automatic discharge” means the capacity of the centrifuge to eject the solids, which have been separated from the liquids, using a hydraulic system in the bowl bottom while running at full speed. These machines are simple and offer different configurations according to process requirements. The MACFUGE centrifuges are reliable, user-friendly, easy to dismount for maintenance and cleaning and allow their use in any process industry that requires fluid separation. They can be manufactured in any material and to operate in areas classified CE-ATEX. Within the range of MACFUGE with automatic discharge of small size, there are MACFUGE MODULAR SYSTEMS: each system is a complete plug-and-play skid-mounted module, a small transportable unit for fluid separation, clarification and purification on a small scale.
Operation / FunctioningThe product to be separated enters inside the bowl via a fixed feed pipe. The discharging functions are executed at time intervals pre-determined by the operator through a PLC in the control panel. The opening time (volume discharged) and the discharge frequency are regulated by setting the times of opening and closing of the solenoid valves. Depending on the time setting, the machine can achieve both partial and total discharge of the bowl content. The efficiency of the centrifuge depends on mixture characteristics: viscosity, temperature, amount of solid and difference between the densities of the various phases all significantly affect separation.
