Measuring principle: Ultrasonic anemometer for measuring wind speed and direction. The instrument is based on the property for which the acoustic waves along a section, are influenced by movements of surrounding air. The specific instrument is equipped with a total of 3 transducers which perform the dual function of transmitters and receivers of acoustic signal. Every single transducer (transmitter) is connecting with a pair transducer (receivers), thus generating a total of 6 possible paths. This innovative solution allows you to have two paths more than the traditional ultrasonic sensors with 4 transducers working pairs (two by two). The fact of having up to 6 paths, allows to ensure greater accuracy in measuring both speed and direction as well as the possibility of continuing to maintain the measure also in case of obstruction of one of the 3 transmitters.
Peculiarities of the sensor: The ultrasonic wind sensor is designed with a high degree of innovation compared to other products in the same market segment and as such it is at the top for the reasons that we describe below:
High accuracy of measurements in order to have up to 6 sonic measurements simultaneously
Very small wing profile of the upper and lower plates to avoid disturbing the wind measurement
Adequate distance between the dishes with the aim to lengthen the sonic paths to the advantage of a greater measurements accuracy
Standard heating equipment, need to be activated based on the measurement site or application needs
Standard equipment both with serial outputs SDI-12 and 485, both of the analog output 0-2 Vdc
